Position Summary: The Family of Parishes of St. Josephine Bakhita, St. Michael, and St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica is seeking a full-time Business Manager to manage the business functions that would include financial, human resources, building and property administration, communications, parking and tenant/rental relations. Reports to the pastor.
Salary: Salary, pension, and benefits under the Diocese of London Personnel Policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversees the financial functions for each Parish in the Family including supervision of the administrative personnel, signing cheques, working with the Finance Committee and preparing annual budgets/reports.
Oversees all human resource functions including supervision of all administrative and support personnel, salary administration, recruitment, and performance appraisals.
Oversees building and property functions including managing contracts, overseeing capital projects, general maintenance, repairs and security.
Oversees office administration including reception, procedures, communication, purchasing, technology, fire safety, security plans including health and safety protocols.
Ensures compliance with Diocesan policies, procedures and guidelines.
Oversees any fundraising activities.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Preferred College Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration.
3-5 years experience in a supervisory/management role in a business environment.
Knowledge of the Catholic Church and Parish/Diocesan operations.
Good knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, SharePoint, email)
Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the Pastoral Team, office staff and parish groups.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and organization skills.
Ability to work independently, to multi-task and prioritize work.
A quick learner who is able to drive continuous improvement.
Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality.
