The sacrament of Marriage (Holy Matrimony) is a vocation of love, unity and self-sacrifice. This most wonderful sacrament is a powerful sign and symbol of the love God has for each of us. We treasure and value the gift of marriage and wish to celebrate it with great joy and faith.
Marriage Preparation
Couples seeking marriage are asked to contact their local parish at least 1 year prior to the marriage. This allows sufficient time to fill out the needed paperwork while taking the time to journey with couples preparing for their most special day.
Preparation includes meeting with the local priest (or deacon) who will be presiding at the celebration in addition to a Marriage Preparation program which takes place at the parish. Alternative arrangements may also be made in consultation with the presider.
