Position: Temporary Part-Time Custodian
Work Location: primarily St. Agnes Church, 52 Croydon St., Chatham, Ontario
Commitment: Temporary position – to start April 22, 2024 until January 22, 2025 (with possible extension) 15 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am – 10:00 am
Compensation: $18.00/hour + 4% vacation pay

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Pastor, the Part-time Custodian is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the inside of the church building and parish offices. This position also ensures outdoor landscaping and minor maintenance is completed as required.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:- Cleans the church building and parish offices
- Completes outdoor landscaping and maintenance such as cutting grass, string line trimming, weeding, etc.
- Supports custodians at the other churches in the family when necessary
- Other duties of a similar nature as assigned by the Pastor
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Prior cleaning and maintenance experience
- Good verbal communications skills with a focus on friendly and welcoming customer service
- Self-motivated hard worker capable of working independently
- Knowledge of the Catholic Church and Parish operations is an asset
A police record check as deemed suitable by the Diocese of London will be required of the successful candidate.
