The Sacraments & Persons with Disabilities
In Pope Francis’ recent Message on the occasion of the International Day dedicated to the disabled persons, the Holy Father affirms that “Baptism makes each one of us a full-fledged member of the Church community, so that all of us, without exclusion or discrimination, can say: “I am Church!” The Church is truly your home!” For this reason, the Church’s magisterium is very clear that “no one can deny the sacraments to persons with disabilities” (Directory for Catechesis, no. 272).

Loyola Press' Adaptive Learning Kits are available on loan for two-week periods to support the catechesis and sacramental preparation of young persons with special needs throughout the Diocese of London. o request a Kit, please complete the form below and someone will be in touch with you to coordinate borrowing from the Lending Library.
