WYD Walking Pilgrimage

Since many of us are unable to attend the World Youth Day Celebrations this summer in Lisbon, Portugal the Youth, Young Adult & Family Ministry office is coordinating a WYD Walking Pilgrimage Experience the week of WYD. This pilgrimage will be faith-based, with prayer, quiet, reflection, fun, and more. We will reflect on the theme of this year's WYD, "Mary rose up & went with haste"- Mary's "YES". This pilgrimage is open to older teens and young adults (who are capable of walking long distances). The cost is $150 per person.

Here are the details:                                                                                                                                                            Meet at Our Lady of the Rosary Shrine in Merlin, Ont at 12:30 pm - please have lunch before arriving.
Welcome, introductions, prayer
Start the first part of our pilgrimage
Finish at Wheatly Provincial Park
Camp out- dinner and snacks provided
Wake up- breakfast provided

Finish at Holy Family Retreat House in Oxley

Cost includes: All meals, campground fee, overnight accomadations at the retreat house.
What you will need to bring:
Sleeping bag, a tent (you will not have to carry this), change of clothing, back pack, comfortable shoes, rain-gear, bug repellant, and sublock.
Once registered, Christine will keep you updated on packing list, etc.
